We went to Armand Bartos’ final exhibition which focused solely on Andy Warhol’s soup can series and his transformation of the Campbell’s Soup brand into an American icon. Limited edition prints and objects were on view with a few treasured relics.

Warhol produced a wide variety of art depicting the Campbell’s Soup can image during three distinct phases of his career, and he produced other works using a variety of images from the world of commerce and mass media. Because of the entire series of similarly themed works became so popular Warhol’s reputation grew to the point where he was not only the most-renowned American pop art artist, but also the highest-priced living American artist.

They represent art dealers all around the country, and recently started an initiative called ’50 Artists for 50 States,’ which allows artists to donate works of art to a museum and get a tax deduction for the market value of the work of art.
