Kei Chan
Kei Chan is a fine art print specialist and art appraiser based in New York. He has always held a special interest in fine art prints and devoted his graduate and doctoral research to print subjects. Today he specializes in fine art prints appraising European and American fine and decorative arts ranging from old master to modern. After completing art history studies at Columbia University, the Institute of Fine Arts, and the Bard Graduate Center, Kei completed research curatorial projects at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bard Graduate Center Gallery, and Sotheby's. His writing tries to reveal how the dissemination of prints facilitates the exchange of valuable ideas and information and provides a rich and profound insight into the artist's intellectual, cultural, and artistic milieu. Recently, the Foundation of Appraisal Education granted him the AntiqueWeek Scholarship, and the Appraisers Association of America (AAA) awarded him the Augustus H. Fisher Fellowship for his art market report: The State of the Impressionist and Modern Art Market, Fall 2008–Summer 2009: Correction and Stability During Economic Crisis. Currently, he sits on the Associates Steering Committee of the Appraisers Association of America and is a member of the American Association of Museums.No posts by this author.
