Deborah Freedman

Deborah Freedman, a Soho based painter and scenic designer, has capitalized on her experience in fine arts and fashion to create custom backdrops and sets for the industry’s leading clients: Neiman Marcus, Saks, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Vogue Magazine, Harpers Bazaar. She has worked with numerous photographers including Ruven Afanador, Greg Kadel, Steven Meisel, Giles BenSimon, Diego Uchitel, Patrick DeMarchelier and Palma Kolansky.

Deborah grew up in New York in the fashion industry as her father manufactured clothing for designers Isaac Mizrahi, Donna Karan, Anne Klein and Mary McFadden. She has had exhibitions of her paintings and prints in galleries and museums throughout the country and is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The New York Public Library, the Library of Congress and the Department of State.
